Twitter has introduced a new feature named "$Cashtags" that allows users to search for the prices of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) by typing their names or tickers into the search tab. The feature is an extension of "$Cashtags" and was announced by the Twitter Business account on December 21st.

According to the announcement, users can tweet the symbol of a major stock, ETF, or cryptocurrency with a "$" in front of it to see a clickable link that takes them to search results that include pricing graphs for those symbols. Users can also simply search for the ticker symbol to bring up the price graph.

At the time of writing, BTC and ETH are the only two cryptocurrencies with price charts available on the platform. Other top cryptocurrencies, including Dogecoin (DOGE), have not yet been included. However, Twitter Business stated that it plans to expand its coverage of symbols and improve the user experience "in the coming weeks."

Twitter CEO Elon Musk retweeted the announcement of the new feature, stating that it is "one of many product improvements coming to financial Twitter." It remains to be seen how the new feature will be received by Twitter users and whether it will become a popular tool for tracking the prices of cryptocurrencies.
